Okay,
still not all. But perhaps my best. Starting with the "Exodus"
card set, I was introduced to worlds of flowstone, mogg warrens, colored
mana, and a creepy nine-level world of nested spheres called Phyrexia,
ruled in its tiny center by something called Yawgmoth. And since then,
so many other worlds. By the late 90's, Wizards of the Coast had assembled
for itself an amazing brain trust which helped launch the fantasy card
game phenomenon into the stratosphere.
So, why, you ask, am I still withholding some of my pieces from inclusion
in this should-be-completists-dream of a comprehesive catalogue? My wise
elfin friend said, when I finally buckled the squirming fella down and
pressed him for the secret of his treasure -- he looked me long in the
eye and said through his whiskers, "You know, there's a lotta crap
out there."
Oh -- you may be wondering if I sign Magic cards through the mail. I do,
sometimes gladly and always for free. In the past I have sent y'all on
a runaround through Wizards of the Coast; those days are through. I've
now moved into something I've the conceit to call The Zugtagon, hidden
in the wilds of rural Pennsylvania. So if any of you out there are clever
enough to be in possession of my years-old street address, it's now worth
as much as Nauru funny-money. Here's how to mail me directly:
Mark Zug
P.O. Box 182
Lewisberry, PA 17339
USA
And be sure to include a legible,
self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want your stuff back. Responding
will be much quicker than in the old days, but patience is still peace
of spirit.
